Rhomboideans
Rhomboideans are a group of muscles in the upper back. They are located between the shoulder blades and the spine. The rhomboideus major and rhomboideus minor are the two muscles that make up the rhomboideans. They originate from the thoracic vertebrae and insert onto the medial border of the scapula. Their primary actions include retracting the scapula, rotating the scapula downwards, and holding the scapula against the thoracic wall. These muscles play a crucial role in posture and the movement of the shoulder girdle.
The rhomboideans are innervated by the dorsal scapular nerve, which originates from the C5 spinal nerve. Blood
