Rhnegatívak

Rhnegatívak refers to individuals with Rh-negative blood, a blood type characteristic determined by the presence or absence of the RhD antigen on the surface of red blood cells. A person is considered Rh-negative if they lack this specific antigen. This genetic trait is inherited and is present in a significant portion of the global population. While having Rh-negative blood does not typically cause health issues for the individual, it can become a concern during pregnancy. If an Rh-negative mother conceives a child with an Rh-positive father, the fetus may inherit the Rh-positive antigen. Without intervention, this can lead to Rh incompatibility, where the mother's immune system may develop antibodies against the Rh-positive red blood cells of the fetus. This condition, known as hemolytic disease of the newborn (HDN), can cause anemia, jaundice, and in severe cases, serious complications for the baby. Medical professionals manage Rh incompatibility through a process called Rho(D) immune globulin administration, typically given to the Rh-negative mother during pregnancy and after delivery to prevent the formation of these antibodies. Rh-negative blood types are important considerations in blood transfusions, as transfusions must be compatible with the recipient's Rh status to avoid adverse reactions.
