Resistiiivisyyttä

Resistiiivisyyttä, known in English as electrical resistivity, is a fundamental intrinsic property of a material that quantifies how strongly it resists the flow of electric current. It is a measure of how difficult it is for electrons to move through a given material under the influence of an electric field. Resistiiivisyyttä is the inverse of electrical conductivity.

The unit of resistiiivisyyttä in the International System of Units (SI) is the ohm-meter (Ω⋅m). A material with low resistiiivisyyttä is a good conductor, allowing electricity to flow easily, while a material with high resistiiivisyyttä is a poor conductor, or an insulator, impeding the flow of current.
