Republikkaadditional is a hypothetical constitutional reform concept proposed for the fictional Republic of Republikka, a parliamentary democracy. The term blends Republikka with additional, signaling a supplementary mechanism intended to broaden political representation. The idea emerged from a cross-partisan civic-technology initiative in the early 2020s, drawing on comparative experiments with expanded representation in other democracies.

The central feature is the creation of an Additional Representation Chamber (ARC) that sits alongside the existing legislature. The ARC would comprise a fixed number of seats elected through nationwide proportional representation, using party lists and socio-demographic quotas. Members would serve four-year terms and be selected through a transparent process designed to reflect regional, linguistic, ethnic, youth, and Indigenous communities, as well as long-term residents with various status categories. The ARC would have a consultative and policy-probing role, capable of proposing legislation, drafting budget amendments, and issuing annual policy reports, but it would not possess a veto over ordinary laws. Its recommendations would require endorsement by the primary parliament to become law.

Implementation would require constitutional amendments and possibly a national referendum. Transitional mechanisms are envisioned to protect existing governance while phasing in representation, with a defined period for evaluation and potential sunset clauses if outcomes are not satisfactory.
