Reifeninnenlining, also known as tire inner liner or inner liner, is a critical component within a pneumatic tire. It is a layer of impermeable rubber, typically made of butyl rubber, that is bonded to the inside surface of the tire's carcass. The primary function of the Reifeninnenlining is to retain the air pressure within the tire. It acts as an airtight barrier, preventing the slow and continuous loss of air that would otherwise occur through the porous tire cords and rubber.
