Rehupelletit

Rehupelletit, also known as pelletized hay or hay pellets, are a compressed form of dried forage, typically grass or alfalfa. They are created by processing hay into small, dense cylinders through a pelleting machine. This process involves grinding the hay and then extruding it under high pressure and heat, which binds the particles together.

The primary purpose of rehupelletit is to create a more manageable, transportable, and digestible form of hay. Their compact nature reduces storage space requirements compared to loose hay and minimizes dust, which can be beneficial for animals with respiratory issues. The pelletizing process can also improve the nutrient availability of the forage by breaking down cell walls.

Rehupelletit are commonly used as feed for livestock, including horses, cattle, sheep, and goats, as well as for small animals like rabbits and guinea pigs.
