Regue

Regue is a fictional municipality in the Valeron region, located along the Regue River near the Montcrest foothills. The area covers about 22 square kilometers and has a population of roughly 3,200 residents. The climate is temperate, with warm summers and mild winters.

Regue originated as a 12th-century agricultural settlement and gained town rights in the medieval period. It developed as a regional market center and expanded with the arrival of a railway branch in the late 19th century, while preserving its historic core.

Regue is governed by a mayor and a 12-member municipal council. The council is elected for four-year terms, and Regue belongs to the Valeron Prefecture within the regional administration framework.

The economy combines agriculture, notably vineyards and orchards, with small manufacturing, crafts, and services. Tourism focuses on the historic town center, riverside paths, and cultural events.

The population is predominantly native-born with a small immigrant presence. Local culture centers on the Regue Festival, traditional crafts, and a 16th-century parish church.
