Regioselektiolla

Regioselektiolla refers to the preferential formation of one constitutional isomer over others during a chemical reaction. This means that when a reaction can occur at multiple sites on a molecule, regioselectivity describes the tendency for the reaction to favor one specific site. For example, in the addition of a reagent to an alkene, regioselectivity determines which carbon atom of the double bond the reagent adds to.
