Refleksitähtäimet, also known as red dot sights, are optical aiming devices that allow the user to align the sight with a target without closing one eye. Unlike traditional iron sights, a reflex sight projects an illuminated reticle, typically a red dot, onto a lens. This dot appears to float in the user's field of vision, superimposed on the target. The advantage of this design is that the shooter's eye does not need to be precisely aligned with the sight's optical axis to see the reticle. The user can keep both eyes open, maintaining greater situational awareness and a wider field of view.
