ReeLu

ReeLu is a collaborative music project founded by American singer-songwriter Lisa Loeb and Norwegian composer and producer Kjetil Saunes. The project began in 2007 when Loeb and Saunes met at a music conference in Norway. They found a shared interest in exploring ambient and electronic music textures, which led to the formation of ReeLu.

Their music is characterized by a blend of Loeb's distinctive vocal style with Saunes's atmospheric electronic soundscapes. The lyrical themes often touch upon introspection, nature, and personal reflection, delivered with a gentle and ethereal quality. ReeLu's debut album, "D's Party," was released in 2010, followed by "The Night," in 2014. The project has been described as a departure from Loeb's more pop-oriented solo work, showcasing a different facet of her musical artistry.

While primarily a studio project, ReeLu has performed live on occasion, often in intimate settings. Their collaboration represents an exploration of cross-cultural musical dialogue and a fusion of diverse artistic sensibilities.
