Recordedstored is a neologism used in information technology to describe data elements that have both been recorded and stored, highlighting the complete lifecycle from capture to durable persistence. The term blends the ideas of recording (capturing data in a log, journal, or transactional record) with storing (writing data to durable storage such as disks or persistent databases). It is not a standardized term and tends to appear in informal discussions, internal documentation, or blog posts where practitioners want to distinguish data that is transient or in transit from data that has been durably persisted.

In practice, recordedstored is used to convey that a data item has survived the risk of loss due to failures and is reliably retrievable. In event-driven architectures, for example, events are considered recorded when written to a primary log and stored when replicated to a durable event store. In databases and messaging systems, distinguishing between a record that exists only in memory or a volatile buffer and one that has been written to persistent storage aligns with the idea of being recordedstored. This distinction also supports guarantees around data integrity, auditing, and exactly-once processing in distributed pipelines.

Limitations include its informality and potential for ambiguity. Because it is not widely standardized, practitioners often prefer clearer terms such as persisted, durable, committed, or durable storage to describe similar concepts.
