In arts and media, recenzenti review performances, films, or exhibitions, offering critique that informs audiences and can influence careers.

Selection and duties: Recenzenti are typically chosen for their expertise in a relevant field. They are expected to act impartially, maintain confidentiality, and disclose any conflicts of interest. They provide structured, evidence-based feedback within a defined timeframe. Review workflows may be single-blind, double-blind, or open, depending on the system.

Process and impact: A submission is sent to one or more recenzenti who submit written reports. Editors or program committees use the reviews to decide on acceptance, revision, or rejection. In grant systems, recenzenti assess feasibility, significance, and cost-effectiveness.
