Rammedør
Rammedør is a Danish term for a standard hinged door set installed in a door frame (ramme). The term distinguishes this type from other doors such as sliding doors or pocket doors. A rammedør comprises several elements: a door leaf (dørblad), a door frame, hinges, a lockset and strike plate, and weatherstripping. Frames are typically constructed from timber, sometimes with metal reinforcement, and are designed to be fitted into an opening in a wall. The door leaf is mounted to the frame with hinges that allow swinging movement on a vertical axis. Materials vary widely; common options include solid wood, engineered wood, plywood, or composite cores, with surface finishes ranging from stained wood to painted or veneered surfaces. The assembly must provide adequate clearance at the top, bottom, and sides to permit smooth operation and proper sealing.
Interior rammedør are common in residential and office buildings, while exterior rammedør must meet higher requirements
