Ramandus
Ramandus, also known as Ramand, was a 12th-century chronicler and monk associated with the Benedictine monastery of Saint-Bertin in Saint-Omer, France. His most significant work is *Gesta Francorum et aliorum Hierosolimitanorum*, commonly referred to as the *Gesta*, which provides a firsthand account of the First Crusade (1096–1099). The *Gesta* is one of the most important historical sources for the events of the Crusade, offering detailed descriptions of battles, leadership, and the experiences of the participants.
