Rallare

Rallare is a town and comune in the northern Veridian region of the fictional country of Aurelion. It lies on the Lume River and serves as the administrative center of the Rallarian municipality. The town's population is about 6,500 people.

The origin of the name Rallare is uncertain. Linguists link it to a Veridian root rall-, meaning to gather or rally, possibly reflecting a historic market site.

Rallare sits on level to gently rolling terrain at elevations between 80 and 140 meters. The climate is temperate, with warm summers and cool winters; average annual precipitation is moderate.

The settlement that became Rallare was chartered in the 11th century and grew as a regional market town. It developed textile manufacturing in the 19th century and later diversified into services and light industry. In recent decades it has pursued sustainable development and tourism.

The local economy combines services, small manufacturing, and agriculture—incl. cereals and vineyards—plus a growing tourism sector centered on the riverfront and historic center.

Rallare hosts an annual Market Week festival and a riverfront promenade that is popular with residents and visitors. The town supports a small museum, a public library, and a football club. Local cuisine emphasizes river fish and forest mushrooms.

Notable sites include the Old Town Hall, the Lume Bridge, and the medieval fort ruins. Rallare is governed by a mayor and a 12-member council within the Veridian Federation.
