Rajales

Rajales is a town and municipality in the province of Alicante, Valencian Community, Spain. It is located in the comarca of Baix Vinalopó. The municipality has a total area of 41.52 square kilometers and a population of 6,569 inhabitants as of 2023.

The town is situated in the interior of the province, approximately 30 kilometers from the city of Alicante. Its landscape is characterized by agricultural fields, particularly vineyards and olive groves, typical of the Vinalopó region. The Segura River flows near the municipality, contributing to its agricultural fertility.

Historically, Rajales has been an agricultural center. Its economy has traditionally been linked to the cultivation of grapes, almonds, and olives. In recent decades, there has been a diversification of economic activities, with the development of small industries and services.
