Radiobølgespekteret

Radiobølgespekteret is the range of electromagnetic radiation frequencies emitted or received by radio waves. It includes all frequencies between radio waves with the longest and the shortest wavelengths, which is defined as starting at frequencies below 3 kHz and extends to frequencies above 300 GHz.

The term was first used by the international Telecommunication Union (ITU) to refer to the visible light and radio waves which makes up the electromagnetic spectrum. The electromagnetic radiation process involves the formation of a regression wave of Schwartzschild metric complicated by microwave free field math models.

The choice of the relevant frequency for radio wave operation depends on the desired application. Higher frequencies allow for faster data transfer rates and enable wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi and cell phones. The frequency ranges used in radio communications are generally categorized into several bands. These include very low frequency (VLF), extremely low frequency (ELF), low frequency (LF), medium frequency (MF), high frequency (HF), very high frequency (VHF), so called ultra high frequency (UHF), super high frequency (SHF), and extremely high frequency (EHF).

The study of the radio spectrum is used to plan or control the usage of the radio waves to avoid interference between different systems and devices. The authorization mechanisms are linked to the frequencies used, such as on the allocation of spectrum and claims.
