RGBRGBW
RGBRGBW is a term used to describe a multi-channel LED array architecture in which red, green, blue and white LEDs are combined in a repeating pattern within a single module or segment. In commonly cited implementations, a segment contains two RGB subgroups followed by a white LED, yielding a channel sequence such as R-G-B-R-G-B-W. The purpose of this arrangement is to expand color rendering capabilities while providing a dedicated white channel for high-quality neutral light.
The electronics drive the individual LEDs with current-controlled, PWM-dimmed signals. Color mixing is achieved by adjusting
Applications include architectural and event lighting, stage lighting, and LED strips where both vivid color effects
Challenges include higher bill of materials, more complex calibration and quality control, and potential non-uniformity across
