RCklassifikationer, also known as RC classifications, are a system used in the field of psychology and psychiatry to categorize and understand the various types of personality disorders. The term "RC" stands for "Raskolnikov," named after the protagonist of Fyodor Dostoevsky's novel "Crime and Punishment," who exhibits many of the characteristics associated with these disorders. The RC classification system was developed by the German psychiatrist and psychoanalyst Heinz Kohut in the 1970s.
