RCMää
RCMää is a Finnish acronym that stands for "Raha-automaattiyhdistys," which translates to "Lottery Association." It was a Finnish state-owned company responsible for operating all slot machines and other gaming machines in Finland. RCMää was founded in 1938 and operated for many decades. Its primary purpose was to generate revenue for public good causes, supporting Finnish culture, sports, and science. The company was known for its widespread presence across Finland, with gaming machines found in arcades, restaurants, and other public spaces. RCMää also managed online gambling services and lotteries. In 2022, RCMää merged with Veikkaus, the national lottery operator, and Finexpert to form a new entity called "Peliaika." This consolidation aimed to streamline the Finnish gambling market and ensure continued funding for good causes. The legacy of RCMää continues within the new structure, maintaining its commitment to social responsibility and the allocation of gaming revenue.
