RAIDnivåmigrering is the process of changing the RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) level of a storage array without losing the data stored on it. This is a crucial operation for system administrators who need to upgrade their storage performance or capacity as their needs evolve. The most common scenario involves migrating from a less redundant RAID level, such as RAID 0 (striping) or RAID 1 (mirroring), to a more robust level like RAID 5 or RAID 6, which offer both performance and redundancy. Alternatively, migration can occur between different levels of redundancy, such as from RAID 5 to RAID 6 to increase fault tolerance.
