Qualitativament

Qualitativament is an adverb used to indicate that something is described or analyzed in terms of quality, characteristics, or meaning rather than in numerical terms. It is the adverbial form of qualitative, and is used in languages such as Catalan and related to similar forms in other Romance languages.

In research and analysis, qualitative approaches collect non-numeric data (texts, images, interviews, observations) and seek to understand processes, experiences, and context. Methods include interviews, focus groups, participant observation, content analysis, and case studies. Analysis involves coding, thematic analysis, or grounded theory to identify patterns and insights. Qualitative work emphasizes depth, context, and meaning rather than generalizability; rigor is pursued through credibility, transferability, dependability, and reflexivity.

Qualitative description, when used qualitatively, is often paired with quantitative methods in mixed-methods studies. It is common in social sciences, humanities, education, marketing, and user experience research, where understanding motivations, perceptions, and complex interactions is essential.
