The term *qattiqlashuvi* (also spelled *qattiqlash* or *qattiqla*) translates roughly to "telling stories" or "reciting," reflecting its core function as a means of preserving cultural narratives, history, and folklore through spoken word. This practice has deep roots in Uyghur oral tradition and is closely tied to the region’s Islamic and Turkic cultural heritage.
