Pórusnyomása

Pórusnyomása is a Hungarian term that translates to "pore pressing" or "pore compression" in English. It refers to a process used in the manufacturing of certain materials, particularly in the context of ceramics, refractories, and some types of powders. The primary goal of pórusnyomása is to reduce the porosity of the material, which in turn can improve its mechanical strength, density, and other physical properties.

The process typically involves applying pressure to a material that contains pores or voids. This pressure can be applied through various methods, such as mechanical pressing, isostatic pressing, or during the firing (sintering) stage of a ceramic product. By forcing the particles closer together, the volume occupied by pores is decreased, leading to a denser final product.

In ceramic manufacturing, for example, pórusnyomása might be employed after forming a green body. Applying pressure before or during firing helps to consolidate the material, reduce shrinkage during sintering, and minimize the risk of defects caused by excessive porosity.
