Pääkehyksen

Pääkehyksen is a Finnish term that translates to "main frame" or "head frame" in English. It most commonly refers to the main structural support of a mine shaft. This structure, typically made of timber or steel, is erected over the shaft opening and serves several critical functions. Its primary purpose is to support the hoisting mechanism, which is used to transport ore, equipment, and personnel into and out of the mine.
