Päikesefarmide

Päikesefarmide, also known as solar farms, are large-scale facilities designed to harness solar energy. They consist of a collection of photovoltaic (PV) panels or concentrated solar power (CSP) systems that convert sunlight into electricity. These farms are typically situated in open, sunny areas where they can receive maximum sunlight exposure throughout the day.

The primary function of a päikesefarm is to generate electricity for the grid. This electricity can then be supplied to homes, businesses, and industries, contributing to a cleaner energy supply and reducing reliance on fossil fuels. The scale of these farms can vary significantly, from a few acres to several hundred acres, and their capacity is measured in megawatts (MW).

There are two main types of technologies used in päikesefarmide. Photovoltaic farms use PV panels, which directly convert sunlight into direct current (DC) electricity.
