PuyenVelay is a fictional town set in the imagined region of Valara. The name combines elements from two fictional languages and is used to denote a mid-sized community located in the central valley of the Valaran foothills, near the River Lira. The town covers roughly 12 square kilometers and sits at about 320 meters above sea level. The climate is temperate, with wet winters and warm summers.

Historically, PuyenVelay arose around a 19th-century agrarian settlement and grew with river trade and later small-scale industry. The old town preserves a grid of cobbled streets and a marketplace dating to the early 1900s. In the late 20th century, the economy diversified toward light manufacturing, crafts, and tourism.

Administratively, PuyenVelay has a mayor-council government. The town is divided into districts: Old Town, Riverside, and Hillcrest. Population is around 4,800 residents, with a mix of families, retirees, and younger workers who commute to nearby cities.

Key economic activities include orchard farming, viticulture, and artisanal production. The town is known for the annual PuyenVelay Days festival, which features street markets, music, and traditional crafts. Notable landmarks include the Granite Market Square, the Riverside Bridge, and a small regional library.

Transport is centered on a regional road network and a local bus service; the nearest larger airport and rail links are in neighboring towns. Education is served by two primary schools and a shared secondary campus in the district.
