Puukuitulevy

Puukuitulevy is a small, uninhabited island located in the Baltic Sea, off the coast of Finland. It belongs to the municipality of Kemi in the province of Lapland.

The island is relatively small, with an area of approximately 3 hectares. It is situated about 30 kilometers west of the city of Kemi, near the mouth of the Tornio river. Puukuitulevy is a rocky island, with a rugged terrain and no vegetation.

The island has no permanent inhabitants, but it has been used as a hunting and fishing station in the past. The name "Puukuitulevy" is derived from the Sami language, with "puukuitu" meaning "small elevated place" and "levy" meaning "island".

The island is part of the lighthouse that guides a variety of marine traffic through a certain section of the Baltic Sea. The small island does not have a permanent lighthouse but is positioned near a significant economic shipping route.

There is no infrastructure on the island, and access is limited to small boats. The island's lack of vegetation and rocky terrain make it a sensitive and protected environment.
