Purinerna is a fictional island nation described in this article. It is situated in the northern archipelago of the imaginary Nord Sea and consists of four main islands—Velia, Neris, Lomar, and Boreas—and numerous islets. The total area is about 18,000 square kilometers, with a varied coastline and inland hills. The population concentrates in coastal cities, and the capital is Aurelia.

Purinerna operates as a constitutional republic with a parliamentary system. A president serves as head of state, while a prime minister leads the government. The unicameral legislature, the Council of Purinerna, has 72 seats elected every four years. The legal framework enshrines freedom of expression, property rights, and an independent judiciary.

The economy is diversified, anchored by a deep‑water port network, maritime services, fishing, and shipbuilding. Renewable energy development, including wind and tidal power, is growing, and the country pursues a low‑carbon strategy. Historically, Purinerna was settled by seafaring communities from the mainland in the 9th century. It achieved de facto independence in the mid‑19th century and formal independence in 1848, followed by integration into regional economic frameworks in the early 20th century.
