Pupilläre

Pupilläre refers to anything relating to the pupil of the eye. The pupil is the dark, circular opening in the center of the iris that allows light to enter the eye. Its size can change in response to light levels and other factors, a process called pupillary light reflex. This reflex is crucial for regulating the amount of light that reaches the retina, optimizing vision in different lighting conditions.

Pupillary abnormalities can indicate various underlying medical conditions. For example, abnormally small pupils (miosis) can be associated with certain medications, opioids, or neurological disorders.
