Puhevirheet, often referred to as speech errors or slips of the tongue, are unintended deviations from intended speech. These can manifest in various ways, including substituting sounds, syllables, words, or even entire phrases. Common types include spoonerisms, where initial sounds of two words are swapped, such as "lacky babs" instead of "backy labs." Anticipations occur when a sound or word from later in the utterance appears too early, like saying "leap year" instead of "deep year." Perseverations are the opposite, where a sound or word from earlier in the utterance is repeated, for example, "nice day" instead of "nice play."
