Ptilosis

Ptilosis refers to a medical condition characterized by the abnormal shedding or loss of feathers in birds. This phenomenon can be caused by a variety of factors, including nutritional deficiencies, parasitic infections, hormonal imbalances, or environmental stressors. In some cases, ptilosis can be a symptom of underlying diseases such as psittacosis or avian pox.
