PsyArXiv

PsyArXiv is a non-profit, open-access preprint server for the social sciences, particularly psychology. It was launched in 2016 by the Center for Open Science (COS) and is hosted by OSF. The platform allows researchers to share their findings before or during the peer-review process, accelerating the dissemination of research.

Preprints are scholarly articles that are pre-peer review. They are made publicly available to allow for broader feedback and quicker sharing of new ideas and findings. PsyArXiv hosts a wide range of disciplines within psychology, including clinical, cognitive, developmental, social, and neuroscience. It also accepts submissions from related fields such as education, sociology, and linguistics.

While PsyArXiv does not conduct peer review itself, it encourages authors to submit their work to traditional journals for formal peer review and publication after sharing it on the preprint server.
