Präzisionsverstärkern, also known as precision amplifiers, are a specialized type of operational amplifier designed for applications where high accuracy and low distortion are critical. They are characterized by exceptionally low offset voltage, low offset voltage drift with temperature, high input impedance, and high common-mode rejection ratio. These attributes ensure that the amplifier introduces minimal error into the signal path, preserving the integrity of sensitive measurements or control signals.

The design of Präzisionsverstärkern often incorporates techniques such as chopper stabilization or auto-zeroing to minimize DC errors. Chopper amplifiers repeatedly switch the input signal to reduce the effect of input offset voltage and drift.
