Protorascogenin

Protorascogenin is a natural product isolated from the roots of the plant Paeonia lactiflora. It is a pentacyclic triterpenoid, belonging to the group of compounds known as paeonolides. Protorascogenin is characterized by its unique chemical structure, which includes a 12-membered ring system and a hydroxyl group at the C-3 position. This compound is of particular interest in the field of pharmacology due to its potential biological activities.

Protorascogenin has been studied for its anti-inflammatory properties.
