Prostatachirurgie refers to surgical procedures performed on the prostate gland, a small gland located below the bladder in men. These surgeries are typically performed to treat various conditions affecting the prostate, most commonly prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), also known as an enlarged prostate.
