Programavbrudd is a Norwegian term that translates to "program interruption" or "program break." It generally refers to a pause or interruption within a scheduled broadcast program, most commonly on television or radio. These interruptions can occur for various reasons, including technical difficulties, unexpected news bulletins, or scheduled breaks for advertising.

Historically, programavbrudd were distinct from planned commercial breaks.
