Prekancerøse, also known as precancerous conditions or lesions, refers to abnormal cell growth that is not yet cancerous but has the potential to develop into cancer. These changes are detected through microscopic examination of tissue samples. They represent a stage in the progression from normal tissue to malignant disease.
