Pourazowy

Pourazowy is a Polish adjective meaning post-traumatic or relating to effects that occur after an injury. It is formed from the preposition po + uraz (injury) with the suffix -owy, and is commonly used in medical and psychological contexts to describe sequelae, conditions, or processes that follow trauma.

In medical literature, pourazowy is used to denote symptoms or changes that persist after an injury, such as pourazowy ból (pain after an injury), pourazowe zmiany w tkankach (post-traumatic tissue changes), or pourazowa rehabilitacja (post-traumatic rehabilitation). In psychiatry and psychology, the term appears in expressions like zespół stresu pourazowego, which corresponds to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in English.

The term signals a causal link to a prior event and is often used to distinguish acute, injury-related phenomena from later, chronic, or rehabilitative phases.
