Posyp
Posyp is a traditional Polish dish, originating from the region of Podhale in southern Poland. It is a type of dumpling, typically filled with a mixture of cheese, potatoes, and sometimes other ingredients like onions or mushrooms. The dough used to make posyp is made from flour, water, and sometimes eggs, and is often rolled out thinly before being cut into small squares or rectangles. These squares are then filled with the cheese and potato mixture, folded over, and boiled until cooked through.
Posyp is often served as a side dish, accompanying main courses such as roasted meats or stews.
