Postgeneration

Postgeneration is a term used to describe the set of activities that occur after content or data has been generated by a system, algorithm, or human author. It encompasses validation, transformation, and packaging tasks that aim to improve quality, compliance with constraints, and readiness for downstream use.

In artificial intelligence and natural language processing, postgeneration includes grammar correction, style adjustment, paraphrasing, translation, summarization, metadata tagging, de-duplication, and safety or policy checks. It also involves ranking and selecting the best-generation candidate and assembling outputs into final formats suitable for deployment or human consumption.
