Porszórással

Porszórással, also known as powder coating, is a dry finishing process where finely ground particles of pigment and resin are electrostatically charged and sprayed onto a surface. These particles are then cured under heat, causing them to melt, flow, and form a uniform, durable coating.

The process begins with preparing the surface to be coated, which typically involves cleaning and degreasing to ensure proper adhesion. The powder, composed of resin, pigment, curing agents, and other additives, is then fluidized in a hopper and fed into a spray gun. The spray gun imparts an electrostatic charge to the powder particles as they are propelled towards the grounded workpiece. The electrostatic attraction ensures that the powder adheres to the surface, even in recessed areas.

After application, the coated part is moved into a curing oven. The heat within the oven causes the powder to melt and coalesce into a smooth, continuous film. The curing time and temperature depend on the type of powder used and the substrate material.

Powder coating offers several advantages, including a wide range of colors and finishes, excellent durability, corrosion resistance, and environmental friendliness due to the absence of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). It is commonly used on metal products such as automotive parts, appliances, furniture, and architectural elements. The finished coating is typically harder and more resistant to chipping, scratching, and fading than conventional liquid paints.
