Furthermore, polycarbonates can release BPA when exposed to high temperatures or certain chemicals, raising concerns about their environmental persistence and potential bioaccumulation.

Despite these concerns, polycarbonates continue to be a valuable material in modern industry, with ongoing research focused on developing more sustainable and safer alternatives.
