Podluís

Podluís is a small municipality and village in the fictional country of Valoria, in the Valorian Highlands. It covers about 18 square kilometers and had a population of around 1,150 in 2022. The terrain is hilly and forested, with streams feeding a central valley.

The name Podluís is of Slavic origin, formed from a prefix meaning "under" or "beside" and a regional toponymic element. The name reflects historical settlement along the valley floor.

Podluís has medieval roots, with the first documentary reference dating to 1432. It grew around a manor and a parish church and remained rural for much of its history. The 19th century brought milling and carpentry; postwar reorganization followed.
