Plastkorn

Plastkorn refers to small plastic pellets that are a fundamental raw material in the plastics manufacturing industry. These pellets, typically ranging in size from a few millimeters to a centimeter, are produced by extruding molten plastic and then cutting it into uniform shapes. They are the intermediary product between raw plastic material and finished plastic goods.

The primary purpose of plastkorn is to serve as a convenient and consistent form for handling, transporting, and processing plastics. Manufacturers purchase plastkorn in bulk and then melt it down in injection molding machines, extruders, or other plastic processing equipment to create a vast array of products.
