Plastinjeksjon, also known as plastic injection, is a manufacturing process used to produce plastic parts by injecting molten plastic material into a mold. This method is widely used for its efficiency, versatility, and ability to create complex shapes with high precision. The process begins with plastic granules being heated and melted in a barrel. This molten plastic is then forced under high pressure into a precisely machined mold cavity. As the plastic cools and solidifies within the mold, it takes on the shape of the cavity. Once cooled, the mold opens, and the finished part is ejected.

The key components of a plastic injection molding machine include a material hopper, a heating barrel, a screw mechanism for plasticizing and injecting, and a mold clamping system.
