Typically, plastidlerdir materials would involve a thermoplastic matrix that is dynamically crosslinked or interpenetrated by reversible bonds. Candidate chemistries include disulfide exchange, imine or boronate ester links, and metal–ligand coordination, all chosen to allow bond scission and reformation under controlled stimuli. Processing would rely on standard melt fabrication methods such as extrusion or injection molding, with the potential for multiple recycling cycles.
