Pixelimäärä

Pixelimäärä refers to the total number of pixels that make up a digital image or display. A pixel, short for picture element, is the smallest addressable element in a raster image. The pixelimäärä is typically expressed as a resolution, for example, 1920 pixels wide by 1080 pixels high. This results in a total pixelimäärä of 2,073,600 pixels (1920 * 1080). A higher pixelimäärä generally means a more detailed and sharper image, as there are more individual points of color to represent the scene.

In digital displays, such as monitors or smartphone screens, the pixelimäärä determines the screen's resolution. Common resolutions include Full HD (1920x1080), Quad HD (2560x1440), and 4K UHD (3840x2160). A higher pixel count allows for more information to be displayed simultaneously and can result in a sharper viewing experience, especially on larger screens or when viewed up close.
