Pitkillä

Pitkillä is a fictional village in the boreal region of Nordmark, a Nordic-inspired country. It forms part of the rural municipality of Saarivaara and lies near the shore of Lake Lumijärvi. The surrounding landscape is dominated by spruce and pine forests, interspersed with meadows and wooden cabins.

History and development

Pitkillä was established in the 18th century as a forestry settlement connected to a local timber mill. A parish church and a school were built in the 19th century, helping sustain a stable community and shaping a distinct local culture.
