Pingxiang
Pingxiang may refer to several places in China. The most prominent is Pingxiang, Jiangxi (萍乡市), a prefecture-level city in the southwestern part of Jiangxi Province. It is an administrative center for several districts and counties. Historically, the city developed around coal mining and heavy industry; in recent decades its economy has diversified into manufacturing, logistics, and services. The city is connected by road and rail to regional markets and larger cities in the area.
